Castleton invests in new Data Centre

This blog post relates to Castleton, one of our previous brands. For more information please read the press release.

In response to increased demand, Castleton has invested over £1 million in new hosting technology, to deliver higher performance, increased capacity and greater security for our customers.

Our new, dedicated Castleton Cloud hosting facility is housed within Europe’s largest, super-secure Tier 4, IL3 facility, and the UK’s first superpower data-centre, and is home to some of the World’s greatest companies including BT and global public cloud providers including Microsoft Azure.

We provide customers with a reliable, super-secure, and high-performing environment, using the latest technologies to deliver super-fast connectivity, enhanced Back-Up, and superior Disaster Recovery with over 99% availability. Castleton chose the facility, as it’s is one of the most efficient data-centres in the UK, with extremely low PUEs and is future proof as a result of the modular construction model it uses.
With unrivalled physical, human, and systems security, our multi-layered approach meets the UK government’s highest standards. We can also offer highly secure colocation and hosting so you can be assured that your assets and data are protected, thanks to the deployment of the highest security techniques available.

This investment reflects our commitment to Cloud delivery, as it becomes essential to modern life and mainstream to the digital economy. We can now ensure our customers get even better platform resilience, extra processing power, improved security, and a direct express route into the Azure Cloud.

As well as upgrading our equipment and establishing new and highly secure data-centres, we are expanding and strengthening our technical support team on-shore and off-shore to provide 24/7 service.
In short, we’ve been listening to our customers and responding to their needs – both now and for the future.
