Downing has chosen MRI Software, a global leader in real estate solutions, to support its expansion into the build-to-rent (BTR) space.
The property developer, which is currently on-site delivering a £400m co-living scheme on First Street in Manchester, has selected the MRI LivingTM suite of solutions as its preferred platform for managing and enhancing its emerging BTR portfolio.
The new neighbourhood, Square Gardens, features three tower blocks comprising 1,772 apartments and about 17,000 square feet of commercial, leisure and retail space.
This is the first co-living scheme for the company, which has a long history of successfully owning and managing assets across the commercial, retail, residential and student living sectors.
As Downing enters the co-living market, the company required a tailored solution that integrated with its existing finance platform.
The implementation of the MRI Living suite will empower Downing to streamline and digitise the entire leasing process, while also facilitating robust resident engagement.
The core property management solution will effectively oversee asset operations, ensuring efficient management across the entire BTR portfolio.
“We are thrilled to be working with MRI Software as we venture into the BTR space,” said Sally O’Brien, Joint Chief Executive at Downing.
The MRI Living suite of solutions perfectly aligns with our goals of providing seamless leasing experiences and fostering resident engagement. This relationship will enhance our position in the BTR space and contribute to our continued success as we embark on our expansion into the sector.
