About Mishcon de Reya
Mishcon de Reya is an independent international law firm based in London with additional offices in New York. The firm employs over 700 people, including more than 400 lawyers. They recently relocated to a 122,000 sq ft property in London as their new headquarters, and they needed the right solution to help them integrate and acclimate into this new work environment.
Mishcon de Reya wanted to provide their employees and visitors with a seamless experience that would allow them to easily book conference rooms without any hinderance. Unfortunately, the tools they were using at the time didn’t provide room visibility or integrated booking tools. This lack of oversight created confusion in the work environment, so it was imperative that the firm convert their booking process into a more manageable one.
Mishcon de Reya implemented Workplace Central into their system to take advantage of space scheduling capabilities, including booking and visibility tools. The scalable, cloud-hosted tool helps make room booking more efficient and less time-consuming.
The Space Scheduling tools were implemented in less than 10 weeks. The software’s flexibility and ease of use enabled the firm to handle an increasing influx of employees, clients, and guests who were all scheduling conference rooms daily. It’s the client-facing capabilities assisted in helping Mishcon de Reya make room booking much more interactive as well.
Real-time displays and granular visibility
The Space Scheduling tool’s color-coded booking charts showed the firm’s users the status and availability of every meeting room, while a daily on-screen list gave the team each employee’s and guest’s location in the building. The software provided live room information, such as availability and the current number of occupants in a booked conference room. This level of visibility went a long way in coordinating and communicating with different teams on how each occupied space was being used and which spaces were available.
Multiple ways to book rooms
Mishcon de Reya is now able to book through the desktop version of the space scheduling tool, through their phones on the desk booking application Workplace Connect, or by using touch screen panels outside of meeting rooms. This level of variability enhances the ways different employees and teams can book rooms to satisfy their own needs.
