U.S. foot traffic trends in May pointed to a stabilizing market, but consumers are demonstrating
careful planning. Downtown visits rose month-over-month and year-over-year, marking the first
annual uplift since April 2025. Meanwhile, shopping mall visits fell month-over-month but still
edged up year-over-year.
