Performance management, too, is something that needs to be examined across the value chain as it too continues to evolve and diversify. 

The amount of data around performance and the value chain of FM keeps increasing. Organisations have come to understand that examining so much information means asking certain questions. Do they use an in-house model? Should it be outsourced? Would a hybrid of the two work?

With so much underutilised data slowing down teams and processes, the reality is that bronze is the more realistic service delivery level we’re seeing. 

This isn’t a problem that comes from the data itself. There’s more than enough of it to work with. I’d even say there’s no such thing as a data shortage in FM. It’s simply a matter of not knowing how to deal with all of it because FM leaders are overwhelmed by the sheer amount.
