Eurostar is an international high-speed rail service in Western Europe, connecting Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Eurostar has been an MRI Planet client for over 10 years and recently decided to migrate to MRI Evolution.
We interviewed Eva Wruszczak, Technical Specialist at Eurostar, on the company’s reasons to move to MRI Evolution, MRI’s open and connected and configurable CAFM solution.
“Before MRI Evolution, we were using MRI Planet on unstable in-house servers. We faced several compatibility issues with the server operating system and the user experience was frustrating as it took a long time to log in to the system. The reporting functionality was also complex and did not meet our needs.
We also had limited resources and the problems we were having with the unstable server made it difficult to react to issues on time and created time constraints on us.”
We then asked Eva about their expectations from MRI Evolution and the areas they wanted to improve in the next 12 months.
“We want to fully utilise the mobile capabilities of MRI Evolution by getting end users engaged through Evolution Go – a mobile workforce management software – so they can submit job requests and receive real-time updates on the status of their requests. This will enable us to provide an enhanced experience to our end users.
Another area where MRI Evolution will be beneficial to our business is the way we manage our contractors. Through MRI Evolution’s Contractor Management app, we will be able to notify contractors of new tasks and improve how we currently manage compliance with supply chain policies.
The ability to use APIs also gives us the flexibility to integrate with other solutions and grow the software as the business needs and demands change.
And finally, we are aiming to improve the defect reporting process by seeing the trends and forecasting for future enhancements.”
