This news story relates to Qube Global Software, one of our previous brands. For more information please read the press release.

Qube Global Software’s Planet team provided the latest updates on the solution’s development at last month’s annual Customer Conference (right).

Excitingly, the latest version of the software – Planet 10.30 – has now been released. It incorporates roughly 100 enhancements (including 40 changes requested by customers) and features 800 days’ worth of development work.

Benefits of Planet 10.30 are significant and far-reaching and include:

  • New rotas and shift patterns making assigning work and scheduling much easier
  • The ability to record assistants on work orders to allow jobs to be issued to two or more devices and record labour for all engineers involved
  • Multiple Web Portal enhancements to make logging calls, raising work and viewing work a much enhanced experience.

In addition to the new release, the team revealed a number of other interesting developments. A total of 11 new organisations have begun using Planet in that period, including Crown Estate Windsor, BDL Management, Farnborough College and Berkshire College of Agriculture, and we remain the largest CAFM provider to the NHS sector.

Perhaps most excitingly of all, the Planet Mobile app that can be used by engineers to receive and interact with tasks will soon be extended to Android and iOS. Already available for Windows Mobile, the updated versions will be available once they’ve been through a rigorous testing procedure.
