Property managers are the beating heart of multifamily communities across the nation. As the economy continues to experience headwinds, AI becomes even more democratized, and housing needs still dominate news headlines, it’s important to check in on how every multifamily organization’s most valuable assets are weathering the changes.
The 2024 Voice of the Property Manager Report is based on a survey conducted by The National Apartment Association and sponsored by MRI Software. This report explores responses from more than 850 property managers in July 2024.
Gain insight into the current and future state of the property management profession across several areas:
- Workload and health – Almost half of respondents indicate busy workloads, and half reported that their job negatively impacted their mental health.
- Training and development – More than half of property managers say they have received suitable training for their role, but there’s still opportunity for improvement.
- Technology – While respondents generally accept that new technology can help their organizations, most are reluctant to change or add new PropTech.
- Career paths – A surprising percentage of respondents see themselves still working in property management three years from now.
