The Vice President of Occupier Solutions will be responsible for developing and managing a suite of Integrated Workplace Management (IWMS) solutions serving the corporate occupier market. This position will be responsible for increasing MRI’s market share and leadership position in a strategic growth market for the business. This team member will partner with product development, marketing, sales, customer service and other shared services to ensure execution of the go-to-market strategy and achievement the company’s financial and market penetration goals. The initial focus will be on growing MRI’s share in the US, UK and Australian markets.

The VP for Occupier Solutions will help drive that objective and the rewards will be commensurate with the criticality of this position. MRI Occupier currently enjoys 300+ employees and 3,500 clients. The opportunity for growth given our recent expansion is huge.



  • Create and maintain solution business plan to grow MRI’s position and market share in the corporate occupier sector
  • Engage with clients and the industry
  • Inform and decide the investment in various parts of the portfolio
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise regarding business-line, competitor and industry-related products, pricing practices and trends and be the voice of the market to the business unit
  • Provide regular analysis of financial and portfolio performance to senior leadership
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry organizations and analysts; represent MRI at industry trade shows and events
  • Promote market awareness, thought leadership and growth through public speaking engagements, webinars and written content creation
  • Identify target companies and pursue strategic partnerships, investments and/or acquisitions that support the business plan


  • Oversee product strategy and roadmaps to support the business plan and commercial objectives
  • Work closely with the business, technology, marketing and sales teams to review current product offerings for expansion and/or enhancement and design new products to round out MRI’s IWMS offering and capture greater share of wallet among current clients
  • Build business cases and financial models to support new product investments
  • Perform market- and user-related research, as needed, to grow and develop products
  • Develop best-in-class user experience and product roadmaps across all of MRI’s occupier offerings
  • Develop and refine pricing structure and price levels in each market segment
  • Work closely with Marketing on the occupier market brand strategy, launch of new offerings, marketing plan and sales enablement tools
  • Work across various internal groups to ensure an integrated technical product launch, including comprehensive solution technical documentation, pre-launch demos, and integrated user acceptance test plans


Above all else, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership traits in setting a vision for the business unit and driving toward successful execution of that vision. Key traits include:

  • Ability to drive product concepts from strategy to execution on the development and delivery of new products and services to the business
  • Demonstrated success managing a large and diverse portfolio of products across the product management life-cycle from new product introduction to product retirement and sunsetting
  • Approaches strategy and product management with a P&L mindset – owning the entirety of the proposition and displaying a sense of true business ownership
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage up and down to a diverse, vocal group of stakeholders
  • Understanding of product best practices and the ability to bring products to market; expertise in full lifecycle product development, management and marketing
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with energy & enthusiasm for solving unknowns
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and communicating potential conflicts where appropriate
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an extended, matrix-driven cross-functional team


  • Ability to manage strategic client relationships and vision setting
  • Thorough understanding of product management and product development best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of business systems and technology concepts with the ability to apply towards solving complex business users’ needs
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills
  • 10+ years of experience in product management and leadership with demonstrated expertise in accounting, lease management and/or IWMS software
  • Experience bringing products to market with a detailed understanding of product marketing and management best practices
  • Demonstrated success at driving innovation in a dynamic environment using analytical and quantitative skills
