MRI Software is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team! This individual will be part of a team focused on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our commercial office building at our Global Headquarters in Solon, Ohio.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • 45K-49K Depending on Experience
  • 17 Days PTO and 10 Paid Holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
  • Prepare conference rooms for meetings; remove or rearrange furniture for events as needed
  • Organize and Clean dock areas including Sweep and remove any cardboard, wood, plastic; ensuring it is free from debris, return extra material to its appropriate place in warehouse
  • Stock and inventory all maintenance and cleaning supplies.
  • Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Inspect building, perimeter of the facility and exterior property on a routine basis; performs maintenance where necessary to ensure the integrity of premises and reduce the risk of future problems. This includes routine cleaning and upkeep of areas not limited to cleaning windows, painting walls, changing light bulbs (interior and exterior)
  • Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns and recommends corrective action as appropriate
  • Identify, recommend & implement building operations & process modifications to the facility for increased productivity and/or cost reduction.
  • Update and maintain records to track maintenance and repairs through internal software program monitor and report trends. Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
  • Keep clean and presentable all areas of the building including but not limited to restrooms, conference rooms, and public use areas
  • Monitor routine maintenance services and ensure completion (custodial, pest control, long term preservation, inspections, grounds, landscapes, & equipment)
  • Interfaces and collaborates with vendors and team members in support of facility initiatives, work requests, or other duties as assigned in a professional and team-oriented manner.
  • Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility and fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol
  • Respond to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
  • Receive & distribute packages and deliveries to various departments & personnel; prepare domestic and international shipments
  • Carries out all duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers
  • Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.

 

 

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow up skills
  • Basic Math and Analytical Skills, Judgment, Problem Solving and Decision Making.
  • Being able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely, and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
  • Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.
  • Requires the ability to multitask and follow & execute instructions with efficiency and proficiency in completion of a variety of assigned projects and tasks with short- and long-term end dates.
  • Professional presentation, attitude and work well with others (internal and external customers) at all levels, including vendors & contract personnel.
  • Experience working with internal and external vendors and services contracting.
  • Basic PC skills, including use of MS Office applications, Internet research/sourcing, etc.
  • Ability to push, lift, move and handle equipment up to 75 pounds
  • Standing, bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
  • High school diploma or equivalent
