The Business Consultant is a key member of the MRI Occupier Global Professional Services (GPS) Team, working alongside their project management and consulting colleagues to ensure the success of a client’s MRI ManhattanONE implementation. 

The Consultant is responsible for ensuring that the designated work package(s) are delivered on budget and timescale to a satisfactory level of quality. The consultant will be able to manage a varied portfolio of work and will need strong organizational skills to ensure that they can manage multiple work streams. The role can vary from a shorter out of the box implementation of weeks through to a multiyear enterprise project with bespoke workshopping, build and design documentation and enhancement specification, testing and delivery. Travel may be required for some of the projects. 

Working closely with clients requires our consultants to be excellent communicators, whether to individuals or teams. We expect the consultant to able to present ideas and content in a dynamic and engaging manner. Alongside this, our consultants need to be able to manage and communicate clearly around project issues. 
Our consultants must be keenly aware of our clients’ key drivers, and able to build a relationship with the client team across the life of the project that goes beyond implementation to full adoption of the system. 
Where possible we encourage our consultants to demonstrate and continue to develop their industry knowledge in order to better understand our clients’ needs and make recommendations. 


The Business Consultant is involved in all phases of client solution implementations and will lead and/or participate in the following activities. 

  • Analyze customer business requirements and objectives 

  • Participate in the development of project implementation plan and schedule 

  • Work with client and other consultants to document solution requirements, functional and technical specifications that meet customer configuration, reporting, customization and integration requirements. 

  • Perform configuration of products according to approved design documents 

  • Create test plans and conduct testing of solutions 

  • Create user documentation/training materials and conduct training on the solution 

  • Provide first level consulting and solution support for clients during active implementations 

  • Assist with data conversion and integration 

  • Create solution documentation and training materials 

  • Communicate /  resolve project issues that may impact the project’s success 

  • Provide remote and onsite operational support, problem determination and resolution 

  • Submit accurate weekly status reports, timesheets and expense reports 

  • Travel as required throughout UK and potentially overseas (expected 25% – 50% in normal circumstances) 

  • Performs other duties as required 



The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of consulting experience as well as an understanding of the real estate, facilities or workplace management domains. They have prior knowledge as a user or implementor of IWMS products and complimentary 3rd party products, excellent written and communication skills, and is driven to solve customer business challenges. 

  • BS degree or equivalent experience. 

  • Three or more years’ experience in one or more of the following 

  • Lease management and lease accounting 

  • Operations / Facilities Management 

  • Capital Project/Program management 

  • Capital asset planning and management 

  • Building space /Space management 

  • Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise software solutions. 

  • Demonstrated ability to learn software and new technologies with minimal guidance. 

  • Basic knowledge of SQL Database 

  • JSON knowledge is beneficial 

  • Understanding of application development, testing & certification 

  • Strong business acumen, high energy, self-motivated and ability to work under pressure. 

  • Excellent organization skills and proven ability to multi-task. 

  • Demonstrated planning skills 

  • Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment. 

  • Willingness to travel (can be up to 60%) 

  • Strong initiative to solve problems
