MRI Ascend Day 1: A conference becomes a festival
This year’s MRI Ascend users conference is shaping up to be one for the books. Held in sunny San Diego, the theme for MRI Ascend this year is shaped around the concept of “building brighter,” as attendees step into Sunshine Falls, a PropTech utopia that represents MRI’s vision of an open and connected ecosystem come to vibrant life. From a stellar Keynote Address in the heart of the city to a full day of learning and connection, there was something for everyone!
Stepping into the “Building Brighter Festival”
Think of the last work trip you took. Do you think of stuffy conference rooms in hotel basements and polite chit-chat? That’s not the conference MRI Ascend attendees found themselves at. Before guests even had a chance to sit down for the first Keynote session on Monday morning, they had been treated to sunrise yoga, live entertainment, and a walk through a lively festival in the heart of Sunshine Falls.
From there, they got an in-depth look at how the citizens of Sunshine Falls use the latest and greatest solutions from MRI Software to transform the way their communities live, work, and play. Sessions throughout the day included exclusive insights into the affordable and public housing space as well as the intersection between energy and footfall analytics!
Learning life lessons in Sunshine Falls
As the day progressed, attendees explored the MRI Ecosystem, where MRI staff, Partners, clients, and experts gathered in one place to network, learn, share insights, and enjoy the idyllic atmosphere. It was no ordinary conference hall as Sunshine Falls came to life in various spaces like the Luna Vista Cinema. Who doesn’t love a good movie? Partners presented throughout the day and gave their guests the full theater experience, complete with complimentary popcorn.
Clients also had the opportunity to sit down and have questions answered by MRI’s famous Support and Services teams live and in-person. To top it all off, the conference is a great setting to provide feedback and have conversations about best practices around industry-wide topics. That’s exactly what attendees can do in Users Groups, and on Monday, a group got together to discuss best practices for onboarding and training new hires.
