MRI Software Shows Their Holiday Spirit By Helping Those In Need

Cleveland, Ohio – As part of their ongoing effort to give back to the community, MRI Software helps several non-profit organizations throughout the year. 2014 was no exception, as the Cleveland-based property management software provider assisted seven organizations in furthering their admirable causes.

American Red Cross
MRI hosted four blood drives on-site throughout 2014, donating a total of 172 life-saving pints to The American Red Cross, the nation’s largest blood collection organization, supplying approximately 40 percent of the blood and blood products used in our country.

Harvest for Hunger
The team at MRI Software donated the equivalent of 5600 meals to Harvest for Hunger through nearly 200 food items and $1400. Harvest for Hunger is an annual awareness campaign designed to fight hunger in all 21 of Ohio’s counties. It is a joint effort of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio.

Think Pink
This year, MRI raised over $300 to Think Pink, a philanthropic organization that focuses on funding projects providing direct financial, emotional and physical support to breast cancer patients and their families. One of Think Pink’s crowning achievements is The Living Centre, a state-of-the-art non-clinical wellness facility that delivers professional and caring holistic support completely free of charge to patients, their families and caretakers at any stage of their journey with breast cancer.

Stuff The Bus
The MRI Software team donated more than 1,000 items to Stuff the Bus, a local drive for teachers and students throughout Northeast Ohio that is part of the Cleveland Kids In Need Foundation. Donated items were stuffed into school buses and taken to a local warehouse so teachers throughout Lake and Cuyahoga counties could ‘shop’ the assortment of supplies for free!

Movember
MRI Software raised over $400 for this worthy cause while growing one dozen memorable mustaches. Seeking to have a lasting impact on men’s health, Movember encourages men to grow out their beards and mustaches throughout the entire 30 days of November. In doing so, vital funds and awareness are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health challenges. Adopt a Family
Building on last year’s success, MRI Software increased our holiday giving and adopted 7 families with 18 children! MRI Software annually participates in the charity’s Christmas program, in which participants buy toys and necessities for needy children, ensuring that they have a fun holiday.

The Adopt a Family Association was formed as a short-term support resource to Greater Cleveland area families in unfortunate socioeconomic positions. The latest release of Bostonpost includes an assortment of updates to ensure that users maintain compliance with HUD’s latest TRACS 202D requirements.

Among the numerous changes present in 202D is the inclusion of additional fields and records on electronic HAP vouchers, which will eliminate the manual process of sending paper vouchers to Contract Administrators (CA’s). Other voucher changes include a new form and record to handle repayment agreements, as well as the addition of new Miscellaneous Accounting Request codes. Moreover, there are a variety of new and updated fields within the certification form, such as household member relations, new member Special Status values, and new move-out and termination codes. These updates are designed to make certifying tenants and billing HUD a more logical and detailed process.
