Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Selects MRI Software to Simplify Multi-Regional and Multi-Language Lease Management

Leader in FMCG chooses MRI HorizonTM to reduce risk and complexity of lease management across EMEA and APAC

London, UK: 30 October 2023 – Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, which brings together the European and Asia Pacific regions of the Coca-Cola bottling company, has selected MRI Software’s Horizon solution to manage its rental and lease portfolio. MRI Horizon is an innovative real estate cloud solution used by leading occupiers in the private and public sectors to manage complex lease portfolios, improve business performance, and reduce operational risk.

Following the integration of the EMEA and APAC markets, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners needed a consolidated solution to manage its multinational and multilingual lease portfolio data and ensure it has full visibility and control over its payable leases, comprising industrial and corporate facilities. The company’s existing lease management system did not meet the new multiregional and multicurrency requirements and could not deliver the integration capabilities that Coca-Cola Europacific Partners required.

By selecting Horizon, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners can better control its complex lease portfolio, increasing visibility, reducing risk, and eliminating errors that could cost it millions.

“When dealing with complex multilingual and multicurrency lease portfolios, it’s easy for things to go wrong without the right technology solution in place”, said Peter Shepherd from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. “As a centralised property management system, Horizon delivers the full visibility and integration we need to optimise the management of our entire lease portfolio under one platform. Horizon is a business-critical system to ensure we remain in control of our lease portfolio.”

“At MRI Software, we know that complex lease portfolios spanning geographies, languages, and currencies are not just an integration headache. Any operational error can cause financial damage in the millions”, said James Foster, EMEA Account Executive – Occupier Solutions at MRI Software. “We are excited to help Coca-Cola Europacific Partners simplify the management of its lease portfolio and achieve unparalleled efficiencies.”

MRI Software Becomes First PropTech Provider to Go All-in on Data Standards

Global real estate software firm incorporates OSCRE Industry Data ModelTM into MRI AgoraTM platform to drive strategic decision-making and ease of data integration

Solon, Ohio – October 24, 2023 – MRI Software, a global leader in real estate software solutions, and OSCRE International, a nonprofit consortium focused on the development and implementation support of real estate data standards, announced that the MRI Agora platform will use the OSCRE Industry Data Model™ (IDM) to help clients improve strategic decision-making and reporting and easily integrate disparate software applications.

“MRI and OSCRE have a shared mission to improve data quality and consistency and ease the burden of integration for the real estate industry — that’s what our open and connected philosophy is all about,” said Patrick Ghilani, CEO of MRI Software. “MRI has committed to not only adopting and using OSCRE data standards, but also to leading the way by pioneering best practices.”

“MRI’s implementation of the OSCRE IDM marks an exciting milestone for the industry,” said Lisa Stanley, CEO of OSCRE International. “Their decision to incorporate OSCRE’s data standards into an expansive, open software platform like MRI Agora demonstrates the value they see in a standards-based data strategy that will drive growth and performance.”

Data standards directly support expansion of the PropTech sector by making systems integration easier, faster and less costly. The sector continues to attract significant investment, with $24.3 billion invested in PropTech companies globally in 2021 and a projected CAGR of 9.3% over the next ten years. As real estate organisations seek to leverage multiple PropTech applications to drive business success, industry data standards will be key to facilitating integration with existing technology and enabling rapid adoption of future innovations, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Without a standardised way to share data between systems, companies must perform manual analysis and time-consuming data manipulation to address inconsistent formats and integration processes. The OSCRE IDM can improve data consistency, transparency and accuracy and provide a strong base for effective data governance. The OSCRE IDM enables software developers to “develop once” and achieve significant savings for future integrations.

The MRI Agora next-generation real estate platform uses the structures provided by the IDM to streamline integrations, standardise data exchange between systems and enable deeper analysis and insights. The app-agnostic nature of the IDM will further simplify integrations and data transfer between members of the MRI Partner Connect programme and MRI solutions. As a result, MRI clients can more easily leverage the capabilities of over 300 global partners and gain access to new technology as it is introduced. The MRI Agora platform is designed to efficiently transact and store data and effortlessly accommodate new use cases.

The IDM also serves as the basis for building a common data model for MRI Agora Insights, a multi-source data and analytics platform that can provide automated insights from MRI products, partners and third-party solutions in one place, enabling faster decision-making and easier access to information.

Ghilani concluded, “Working with OSCRE has enabled us to revolutionise the way we process data for our clients and partners. We’re delighted to continue supporting them on this journey.”

IDC MarketScape Names MRI Software a Leader in Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Lease Accounting and Administration Applications

Solon, Ohio – October 19, 2023MRI Software, a global leader in real estate solutions, has been recognised as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Lease Accounting and Administration Applications 2023 Vendor Assessment.

The recently released report from IDC, a leading provider of global IT research and advice, evaluates vendors, ultimately positioning them in one of four IDC MarketScape categories: Participants, Contenders, Major Players and Leaders. Placement is determined by the vendor’s performance when measured against certain market criteria, with surveys, interviews, public information and end-user experiences factoring into the scoring.

According to the IDC MarketScape report, “The roller-coaster ride of the past 36 months has changed how businesses operate regarding lease management. Many have significantly reduced their operational footprint, while others have expanded their needs for space. It all depends on the industry. As a result, some businesses are saddled with leases for spaces and items that they will not or cannot use in the short term. This complex predicament has been further complicated by the regulatory changes associated with GASB 87 and ASC 842, which promise to add unprecedented complexity to lease management.”

Built on a foundation of flexible, AI-powered technology, the PropTech company’s software and services enable tenants across a variety of sectors—including office, retail, industrial, healthcare, and education—to overcome today’s complexities while preparing for challenges that may arise in the future.

The report noted, “MRI Software’s comprehensive lease accounting solution addresses the complexities of lease accounting compliance. With its robust features and functionalities, MRI’s lease accounting solution enables organisations to effectively manage lease portfolios, automate lease calculations, and generate accurate financial reports.”

The report went on to say, “The software supports compliance with lease accounting standards such as ASC 842 and IFRS 16, ensuring accurate lease classification, measurement, and disclosure. MRI’s lease accounting solution provides a comprehensive platform for organisations to streamline lease administration, enhance financial visibility, and meet regulatory requirements with confidence. MRI has a dedicated team providing lease administration services that helps establish a series of standardised policies and procedures for real estate teams to meet the goals and objectives of the firm, the customers, and the corporate real estate department.”

“We’re extremely proud to be recognised as a Leader of lease accounting and administration solutions in this year’s IDC MarketScape report,” said Patrick Ghilani, Chief Executive Officer of MRI Software. “As the industry evolves, our goal is to continue providing our clients and the overall market with solutions and services to help meet their compliance requirements and optimise complex lease portfolios in a rapidly shifting economic environment. We believe our position in this report further confirms that we’re on the right track.”

The report further notes companies should, “Consider MRI Software if you are searching for a comprehensive and robust solution that supports compliance and is backed by a lease administration team that focuses on developing standardised policies and procedures for real estate teams.”

About IDC MarketScape
IDC MarketScape vendor assessment model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT (information and communications technology) suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilises a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market. IDC MarketScape provides a clear framework in which the product and service offerings, capabilities and strategies, and current and future market success factors of IT and telecommunications vendors can be meaningfully compared. The framework also provides technology buyers with a 360-degree assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and prospective vendors.

MRI Software Strengthens Commitment to Advance Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace

Company formalises programme to take action internally and beyond to address the needs of a range of unique and underserved communities

Solon, OH – 23 May, 2023MRI Software is reinforcing its commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) with a new strategy that puts the company at the forefront of DEI action in the PropTech sector. This follows the company’s Chief Executive Officer Patrick Ghilani committing to a broader CEO initiative aimed at championing such efforts in the workplace. In supporting CEO Action for Diversity & InclusionTM, Ghilani joined over 2,000 CEOs pledging to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed, respected and openly discussed.

“Our desire is that DEI isn’t just something we do as part of our culture, but rather it is our culture,” says Ghilani. “MRI will continue fostering a work environment where employees of every background can freely address challenges, present opportunities and share perspectives, as it strengthens our business and drives innovation.”

To help MRI attract and retain team members who identify with a wide range of diverse, often underrepresented communities such as women, people of colour, and LGBTQIA+, the company has announced a number of Employee Resource Groups (ERG). The first, the Women and Allies group, was formed last year, while an LGBTQIA+ group, PRISM (Pride, Respect, Inclusion, Support at MRI), is being launched this month – with two other groups representing unique communities within the company in the process of being formed.

Susan Avelluto, MRI’s Chief People Officer, says: “Creating a true culture of inclusion and belonging and investing in people and communities that strengthen MRI as a workplace is critical to our ongoing success as a business. Our Employee Resource Groups, called Pride Resource Groups internally, support the company’s broader DEI strategy, providing an avenue through which MRI can connect with audiences from each group’s demographic – whether from a workplace standpoint or an external community and market-outreach perspective.”

These groups help the company address four pillars at the heart of its DEI strategy: People, Culture, Community, and Marketplace:

  • People – underscores MRI’s aim to attract, develop, engage, and retain a rich diversity within the members of its global team
  • Culture – speaks to the need to understand, connect with and create a sense of belonging with all groups of people
  • Community – promotes volunteerism and financial investment across a broad range of different external communities
  • Marketplace – enables MRI to build a more inclusive employment brand and solution offering

Carol Lewis, MRI’s Vice President of DEI, says: “Making sure we’re listening to the voices of every community and leveraging their insights to create a better working environment – as well as products and services that resonate across more audiences – is crucial to helping us sustain a diverse and inclusive business. We are dedicated to transforming lives. We’re invested in DEI because this is what connects the world—where people live, work and play— in a more meaningful way.”

MRI has also formed strategic corporate partnerships with groups that give marginalised or underserved communities opportunities they normally would not have. These include Coding Black Females (empowering and mentoring this community), AnitaB.org (supporting women and non-binary technologists), Women in Technology International (WITI), INROADS (serving unrepresented and underserved youth) and Steel City Codes (a high school student-led non-profit educating elementary and middle-school pupils on computer science).

Ghilani concludes: “Our initiatives over the last few years and our focus to further improve in this area are not just singular, programmatic actions. They’re indicative of our unwavering commitment to cultivating a true sense of belonging.”

MRI Software completes acquisition of PropTech Group (ASX:PTG)

Combined solution suite is positioned to meet growing consumer expectation for an agency to handle their property needs for life

Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 22 February 2023. MRI Software, a global leader in real estate software solutions, announces its $93.4 million stock acquisition of PropTech Group (ASX:PTG) is now complete. The highly anticipated deal, first announced last year, secured approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB), and Federal Court of Australia earlier this month.

The property technology (PropTech) industry has experienced extraordinary growth in Australia with an influx of new providers and innovation over the last several years. In acquiring PTG, MRI complements and strengthens its MRI Living™ suite of residential sales and property management solutions – automating and simplifying every consumer touch point in a real estate business.

“This acquisition brings together two innovative PropTech companies dedicated to providing the greatest possible value to real estate agencies across Australia and New Zealand. The residential real estate industry is now a step closer to having a holistic operational view of consumers throughout their property life cycle,” said David Bowie, Senior Vice President and Executive Managing Director for MRI Software in Asia Pacific.

“We’re incredibly proud to have curated such a powerful end-to-end suite of solutions to advance our industry and meet the needs of agencies and consumers alike. In a survey we conducted last year, Australian consumers told us they want one real estate agency for life. We’re committed to helping agencies deliver on that aspiration. With more than 50 years of experience serving the global real estate industry, MRI offers peace of mind for clients who know the solutions we tailor to their particular environment are tried and tested.”

Joe Hanna, CEO of PropTech Group, said, “This acquisition is a massive opportunity for PTG clients, who already enjoy the tight integration of our software. Many of MRI’s clients use PTG products like VaultRE or Eagle Software, and likewise, many PTG clients use offerings from MRI such as Box+Dice or PropertyTree. Now, we can innovate together to ensure the focus is exactly where it matters: on our clients.”

MRI’s David Bowie concludes, “We’ve been delighted by feedback from clients and industry leaders so far. They grasp the incremental value brought by having a partner with an open and connected technology ecosystem to underwrite their business growth. Our respective innovations and extraordinary teams will enable us to better support our clients as they strive to retain consumers for life.”

Agency professionals are advised to continue working with their respective PTG or MRI contacts, and/or reach out to MRI for information about any of its newly enhanced suite of residential agency PropTech solutions for marketing, sales, property management and finance operations, now within the MRI group of companies.

Finance and legal milestones
After securing a near-unanimous vote by shareholders, the binding Scheme Implementation Deed was approved by the Federal Court of Australia and other regulatory bodies earlier in February. The quotation of PTG shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) was suspended after close of trading on 13 February 2023. Shareholders receive $0.60 per PTG share held by 7 p.m. on 15 February, delivering an implied equity value of approximately $93.4 million. Implementation of the Scheme officially takes effect from 22 February 2023, meaning full control of the PropTech Group transfers from PTG shareholders to MRI Software on this date. The PropTech Group first traded as PTG on the Australian Securities Exchange in November 2020 with an indicative enterprise value of $27 million outlined in its Prospectus. It has been acquired by MRI for $93.4 million, equal to nearly 250% increase in value in just two years.
