FSI Becomes MRI Software to Bring Together the Best of Facilities Management and Workplace Solutions

Concept Evolution, FSI’s premier cloud-based FM software, continues to serve the market as MRI Evolution

London – June 15, 2022FSI, a UK-based provider of enterprise-class facilities management (FM) software, is now officially operating under the MRI Software brand to reflect the enhanced and extended solution set of the merged companies. MRI Software, a global leader in real estate solutions, acquired FSI in August 2021, and FSI’s widely used Concept Evolution software will be known as MRI Evolution moving forward. The combined team now provides an expanded FM offering, enabling real estate owners, operators and occupiers to improve building sustainability, data visibility, mobile connectivity, and tenant satisfaction as part of a comprehensive building and workplace management strategy.

“Integrating FSI with MRI Software strengthens both organisations’ ability to support FM teams across a range of industry sectors by delivering an enhanced, scalable technology platform to manage and maintain facilities effectively,” says James Massey, Managing Director of Facilities Management for MRI Software. “The addition of FSI’s cloud-based FM software has augmented MRI’s overall solution portfolio – particularly our extensible Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). Together, the combined offerings further improve the company’s ability to better serve landlords, contractors and tenants, creating a single experience and better usability across all applications.”

Adding the FSI team’s expertise and solutions in computer aided facilities management (CAFM), mobile workforce enablement and smart building support to MRI’s globally recognised, scalable IWMS platform provides the industry with tools that power the entire workplace, enabling a connected, digital-first experience. In addition, FSI FM tools that support sustainability goals complement MRI’s eSight Energy reporting and analytics solutions.

FSI brings to MRI’s already comprehensive FM offering:

  • End-to-end data visibility and IoT connectivity that links systems from every part of a building, enabling facilities managers to centralise operational control and gain actionable insights that improve performance, proactively pre-empt costly failures and power smarter buildings;
  • A suite of mobile applications that allows providers to easily manage an on-the-go workforce from anywhere in the world, while also enabling occupiers to input and track service requests;
  • Improved sustainability and energy efficiency, empowering FM teams with the tools to accurately monitor energy consumption across properties and make data-driven adjustments that cut carbon emissions, improve equipment life expectancy and reduce costs.

“Facilities management teams are now playing a critical role in helping companies revolutionise the workplace for a fundamentally reshaped post-pandemic working world,” Massey adds. “Moving forward, we see real estate owners, occupiers and operators adopting strategic FM technologies to support smart buildings and the mobile capabilities needed for both FM providers and departments.”

FSI brings into the MRI fold more than 300 clients from around the world, including Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Their combined client base spans a broad array of asset classes and industries, including retail, financial services, healthcare, education, office, government, logistics and manufacturing.

Solon, Ohio – May 17, 2022MRI Software, a global leader in real estate solutions, has named three experienced technology leaders to key senior vice president roles in sales, services and revenue operations – in addition to broadening company President John Ensign’s role to Executive Managing Director of North America. The company announces that it has appointed Sherry Lautenbach as Senior Vice President (SVP) of North America Sales, Eric Walsh as SVP of Global Services, and Jamie Brown as SVP of Global Revenue Operations.

Over the last five years, MRI has significantly grown its global footprint and capabilities to support clients in key regions around the globe. In her new role, Lautenbach oversees the North American sales team and the global partner team, applying her strategic expertise to give clients more opportunity to create the software ecosystem that works best for their business. Before joining MRI, she was SVP of Global B2B Sales at PROS, which provides artificial intelligence-based ecommerce solutions. Previous roles include SVP of Cloud Sales for Key Accounts at Oracle, SVP Americas Sales at Nutanix, and General Manager for the Distribution Market, North America at IBM, where she was a member of the 300-member Senior Leadership Team driving strategy, execution and transformation.

He is responsible for ensuring client journey excellence and maximising value realisation for each customer’s business. Previously, Walsh was the VP of Professional Services and Operations for NCR, a fortune 500 software and services company. Before that, he held senior leadership roles at SunGard, FIS and PowerSchool.

Brown oversees strategy, operations and enablement across MRI’s revenue teams – playing a pivotal role in driving global sales effectiveness and maximising revenue growth worldwide. A seasoned strategic leader with a strong track record of building and scaling global operations, she previously served as SVP of Global Revenue Operations at Syniti, a global leader in data migration. Before that, she worked at SAP for more than 15 years, holding a series of leadership roles in operations, strategy and total rewards.

Investment Firm a.s.r. real estate Selects MRI Software to Boost Fund Visibility and Decision-Making

Netherlands-based company deploys MRI Strategic Planning and Analytix to manage fund and asset modelling within one solution to create value for investors

 London – 27 April 2022 – MRI Software, a global leader in real estate solutions, , announces a.s.r. real estate, a Dutch real estate investment management firm part of a.s.r., one of the largest listed and sustainable insurance companies in the Netherlands, has selected MRI Strategic Planning and Analytix to manage its asset and fund modelling processes.

a.s.r. real estate, which has more than 125 years’ experience, manages portfolios in different sectors such as retail, residential, offices, science parks, agricultural land, renewables in the Netherlands and listed and non-listed real estate internationally. The firm is deploying MRI Strategic Planning, a real estate investment software solution, and Analytix Portal, a centralised and flexible business intelligence platform. The technology will drive scalable growth and maximise investment portfolio value by improving data visibility and analysis as well as supporting decision-making and long-term planning.

“Implementing MRI Strategic Planning and Analytix empowers us to focus on making buying and selling decisions at the fund level,” said Jerry Smith, Fund Controller at a.s.r. real estate. “The deployment enables our company to mitigate risk and increase value for investors by seeing multiple tiers within a fund and modelling different areas of a fund within one solution, so we can make faster, informed decisions. In addition, using MRI’s toolkit capability gives the company more control over the system, enabling us to configure reporting as our needs change – thus future-proofing the business.”

a.s.r. real estate required a flexible, all-in-one solution that could handle complex investment structures and drill down to critical fund, asset, and unit-level information. The MRI deployment provides a.s.r. real estate with one central source of data, so it no longer needs to pull information from various sources, allowing everyone at the firm to collaborate more effectively.

“Putting information at people’s fingertips is critical for companies like a.s.r. real estate, helping them manage the asset and fund modelling processes more effectively,” said Dermot Briody, Senior Vice President and Executive Managing Director EMEA at MRI. “MRI Strategic Planning allows a.s.r. real estate to manage both within one solution, significantly improving efficiency, data accuracy and strategic decision making. Relying on spreadsheets for investment modelling and portfolio management can lead to mistakes in reporting, version control issues, and inconsistent data.”

MRI Strategic Planning is a global solution that allows firms to strategically model their assets, funds, and debt in multiple currencies to make investment portfolio decisions that diminish risk and drive performance. It offers a flexible system that can be adapted and customised based on each client’s unique needs.

Prior to Wilbur, Mr. Cohen spent five years as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Domain Group and held various technology leadership roles at Fairfax Media and other well-respected organisations.

The high-profile executive appointment reflects MRI’s belief in the strategic role of artificial intelligence (AI) and property technology (PropTech) to distinguish residential and commercial real estate industry leaders in 2022.

“AI-first PropTech allows leaders to make fast, data informed decisions in real-time, and frees up their professional staff to focus on the very human elements of real estate that continue to matter more than ever,” says Mr. Cohen.
