Description

We are looking for an Apprentice to join MRI as a PMO (Programme Management Office) Coordinator to support the PMO Manager and Project Management Teams in organising and administering all types of projects, from day-to-day activities to more complex implementations.   

With training and support the PMO Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with our Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, such as scheduling and risk management, along with administrative duties, such as maintaining project documentation and producing reports. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. 
 
The PMO Coordinator’s key objective is to support overall governance and effective performance management.  

Responsibilities 

  • Supporting the PMO Manager in improving internal processes and policies. 

  • Support the PMO Manager in delivering successful workshops/focus groups 

  • Tracking and managing project benefits  

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, and information 

  • Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes 

  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives 

  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management 

  • Monitor project progress and support the Project Manager in handling any issues that arise 

  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate any blockers to project delivery 

  • Use tools to monitor risks, actions, plans and budgets 

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports 

  • Ad-hoc admin tasks 

  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans 

  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (primarily Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) 

  • Ability to analyse and understand data 

  • Producing reports that succinctly and visibly show a desired message 

  • Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company’s standards 

  • Contributing to improving existing PMO policies and processes 

  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines
