With little warning, the government announced the effective restart of the UK housing market on 13 May.
Branches are now open and potential buyers and renters can view properties – but, with strict social distancing measures in place, it’s by no means ‘business as usual’ and agents have had to find ways of navigating the impacts and overcoming the many challenges.
In this online panel discussion, we bring together three sales and lettings technology experts to discuss the current state of play and reflect on the first month of recovery for the agency market.
Our trio of recognised industry speakers will focus on the role of software and digital solutions in the sector, analysing how proptech is being utilised to support the return to work of agents, help managers fully understand the performance of their business and uncover new ways of working that align with COVID-19 guidelines.
Ed Mead – A former estate agent himself, Ed is Co-founder of Viewber – an innovative online platform that unlocks access to a range of last-mile residential services such as inspections and viewings. Through his regular media contributions and speaking engagements, Ed is a high-profile industry figure and hosts his own monthly Property Podcast.
Rajeev Nayyar – Raj is the Managing Director of Fixflo, a leading repairs and maintenance software provider for residential and commercial property. With Fixflo used extensively by sales and lettings agents, Raj is a regular speaker and commentator in the sector and is involved in various industry working groups across property management, resident service and resident safety.
Trevor Youens – With extensive experience earned at several pioneering proptech firms, Trevor is a known and respected voice in the agency space. Today, he leads MRI’s UK residential solutions and is instrumental in the development, positioning and implementation of software for some of the industry’s biggest names.
As well as analysing the past month of activity, the panel will also look to the future – sharing their views on where the market goes from this point and the role technology will play going forward.
