“Using IRES, we can publish our monthly reports in a timely fashion while accessing accurate information on cash position, tenant information, delinquency updates, accounts payable status, and current and future rental information,” she says.

Batteen continues, “A solid accounting system is very important to us as a means to better serve our clients. We had been on another provider’s DOS-based system that simply couldn’t provide what we needed.

“We looked at six or seven software solutions. Our checklist of important features included tenant billing, CAM recoveries, strong report-writing capabilities, a single integrated database, and dependable financial integrity,” she says. “Ultimately, we chose IRES for its strong accounting foundation.

“We were also looking for a tenant-based budgeting system,” asserts Batteen. “With our DOS system, it was a huge effort to produce tenant-level budgets for approximately 2000 tenants across sixty centers. This required manual intervention using spreadsheets and was a time-consuming, cumbersome process.

“We were attracted to IRES' seamlessly integrated ForeSight solution which provides tenant-level budgeting,” she says. “We knew that if we could perform this intensive budgeting without manual intervention, we could achieve huge productivity savings.” In turn, that too, will help S.L.
